- Abstract
- This work is devoted to the discursive behavior of sentences with experimental meaning. Such sentences are interesting, in particular, in that their functioning in discourse is subject to certain laws. This puts them on a par with such linguistic units as existential sentences, narrative verb forms, adverbial sentences, modal forms, i.e. with such units, which are assigned a certain position in the structure of discourse1. The first part of the work is devoted to the description of typical uses of experimental sentences in discourse on the material of the Russian language. In the second part of the article, languages with specialized forms of experimentation will be considered. These are analytical constructions with a rather transparent internal structure, according to which the initial connection between the form and the meaning transmitted to it can be restored. It will be shown that the form of experimentation in these languages is motivated by the discursive functions of experimental sentences.
