Abstract

This article explores a typology of accusative nonpatient meanings and discusses whether there is some general motivation for such accusative uses. The found values are divided into several groups, for each of which a separate explanation is offered. In addition, the sample of languages used makes it possible to formulate some frequentals concerning the accusative marking of adverbials.
