Abstract

This article examines the youth labor market of the largest economy in the world – the United States. Based on official American statistics, a comprehensive analysis of trends in the youth labor market in the United States over the past 20 years has been conducted. The article analyzes the dynamics and structural features of youth employment, depending on racial, ethnic and gender characteristics. The industry structure of youth employment in the United States is presented. The role of the state in expanding employment opportunities is shown, and professional training programs for American youth are presented. The article allows us to better assess the features and prospects of the youth labor market in the United States.
