Abstract
The article analyzes the dynamics of China's relations with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the increased political role of which makes it an influential regional factor. Reduced dependence of China's policy in Iraqi (South) Kurdistan on Sino-Iraqi relations, as well as the impact of “energy and economic context” on it are noted.
