Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the pun in the novel by F.M. Dostoevsky's "Demons". The evidence of the writer himself about "Love of puns" and thoughts of D.S. Likhachev on the role of "linguistic inaccuracies" in the writer's work; the typology of puns in the novel is given.
