Abstract
The article notes that the quality of life of older people depends on their own resources, but especially on the conditions provided by the state. The article analyzes unrealized legal norms that provide for the possibility of obtaining free legal aid for this category of people. Surveys revealed: a low level of their legal awareness, imitation in the field of social and legal services, which is the result of the lack of a strategic goal in working with the elderly. The essence of the problem is to make legal advice accessible, and the forms of social work concrete and real.
