Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the precariat and precarization processes in Russian society. The article reveals the deformation of the employment structure in the post-industrial economy and the conditions for the emergence of the precariat in Russia. Based on the indicators, a theoretical scheme for identifying the precariat in the social structure is proposed. Based on empirical data for the period 1994-2013, we estimate the size of the precariat and compare it with other social groups in Russian society. It is concluded that, despite the gradual weakening of the conditions that could stimulate the precarization processes, the risk zone is still at risk about 27% of the Russian population can be attributed.
