Abstract
The article analyzes the work of public environmental organizations in the Altai Republic. The stages of formation of the public environmental movement in the Republic are highlighted. The author considers a number of main methodological aspects of the activities of eco-NGOs engaged in renewable energy and energy-saving technologies, and provides a preliminary analysis of the prospects for their further work.
