Abstract
Various contexts of the use of the combination are described, even if / even, which in grammar and typology is usually interpreted as a conditionally concessive union. The semantics of the union is analyzed in detail if and it is demonstrated that the meaning even if / even is deduced from the meaning of its constituent parts. The specificity of this combination is that the union if appears in it in its non-causal modification; out of context with even a union if it appears in it only in a limited range of contexts. From a theoretical point of view, even if / if even is a compound union in statu nascendi.
