- Abstract
- In this work, on the basis of the introduced hypotheses about the meaning of four prefixes with opaque semantics (you-, y-, po, o- / ob-), the problems of semantics of prefixed verbs are analyzed related to the distinction of synonymy and the choice of a prefix. Using specific examples, the author seeks to show that hypotheses about a single meaning of verbal prefixes, although they seem overly abstract, since they exist on a deeper semantic level than the level of dictionary interpretations, in many cases have explanatory power.
