- Abstract
- The article presents an attempt to once again address the issue of the specific pairing of the Russian verb. The starting point for the proposed solution to the problem is the analysis of the answers of linguists to the problem posed in the Questionnaire of the Aspectological Seminar of the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University, of assessing seven pairs of single-root Russian verbs in terms of their recognition or non-recognition by species correlates. Further, a recursive mechanism for determining species correlations, taking into account the morphological type of prototypical species pairs, actional properties of verbs and Maslov's functional criterion, is presented.
