- Abstract
- The article discusses sentences with substantive predicates in the systemic grammatical and textual aspects. The choice of the predicative case is explained by the action of "categorical agreement", which combines the lexical semantics of the predicative name, the category of case and tense. Refusal of categorical agreement, or "categorical mismatch", is interpreted in connection with the subject of the modus, that is, as one of the means of manifestation of egocentric technique. The work is devoted to the issues related to the functioning of the nominative and instrumental cases in sentences with substantive predicates; the research is carried out from the standpoint of explanatory grammar in connection with the idea of the interaction of grammatical categories.
