Abstract
In this work, we touch on the peculiarities of the coordination of the Basque polypersonal verb with its actants, paying special attention to how these features are related to the substitution of morphologically impossible and rare forms. We consider the problem of incomplete paradigms and prohibitions on a number of forms associated with causation from a semantic point of view, explaining these features by the prototypical inanimate of the absolutive actant in three-person verbs. The article also puts forward a hypothesis about the connection of incomplete paradigms with irregularities in the formation of the past tense of the verb.
