- Abstract
- The existing descriptions of the Russian normative pronunciation did not reach the completeness to which the Akal was striving. L.V. Shcherba, but did not have time to implement it: the sound of whole texts with a natural alternation in them of full and colloquial pronunciation styles. As a result of 30 years of work L.V. Shcherba came to the idea of including in the concept of styles of pronunciation and the degree of clarity (clarity), and the quality of sound segments (see his remarks in | Shcherba 1983 |).The author of the published article develops these Shcherbov's provisions, as well as his concept regarding the improvement of verbal (timbre) hearing and teaching normative pronunciation in full. Within the framework of the universal methodology, the author cannot consider himself a supporter of the Leningrad-Petersburg tradition in terms of distinguishing between the type of pronunciation and the style of pronunciation, since the possibility / impossibility of “phonemic interpretation” of segments is interpreted there.Actually Shcherbov's concept of Russian normative pronunciation has invaluable cultural and speech significance, since it teaches public pronunciation, the need to realize in this regard the trivial, everyday sound in speech - for preventive purposes. Of course, pronunciation is considered when generating a whole text with a strategy and tactics for deploying the latter, therefore, it is not possible to limit ourselves to word-by-word (segment-wise) differentiation of pronunciation styles (see, for example, the work of the Moscow school)
