- Abstract
- The author suggests, that in the contacts of Vaclav Hanka with Russia one can defi ne three major aspects: Hankas translations of Russian folk poems; discussions about Hankas employment in Russia as a professor of Slavic studies at one of the universities; and his professional assistance to Russian Slavists during their research trips. It should also be added, that Hanka was exchanging books with his Russian colleagues.
